With our Headquarters in Hong Kong, we have sales and marketing support in the UK, New York, Paris, Singapore and Hong Kong and 5 Manufacturing facilities specialising in Haircare, Colour Cosmetics, Fragrance, Skincare and Body care.
The Demand Planner is responsible for customer service and supports with key inputs into the forecasting activities associated with customers and products. The Demand Planner collaborates with the Forecast Analyst who maintains forecast models for our customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from Sales / Commercial, Operations, Marketing, Finance, retailer data, and other sources. The sales forecast is used by the business for short and long-term capacity planning, materials planning and third-party supplier forecasts
Customer orders are received into the organisation via the Demand planner who liaise closely with Production Planning, Procurement and Operational teams to ensure OTIF delivery. The Demand Planner provides regular orderbook updates to customer, liaises with the warehouse team concerning their despatch, and supports the business with ad-hoc inventory reporting and analysis.
Purpose of the Role
To report, analyse and manage Customer demand (Orders and Forecast) to meet OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) delivery targets, and build long term customer relationships. Demand planning is a critical business planning function: It tells you where you’re headed and when, and influences strategic decision making within the organisation.
Key Accountabilities
Work closely with the customers in a true collaborative partnership, delivering against agreed internal and external KPIs
Attend fortnightly NPD meetings as part of a cross functional team to drive the NPD projects forward to achieve their agreed launch dates. Attend with relevant supporting data e.g. current production dates / customer PO's / forecasts
Drive collaborative planning and replenishment activities with your customers: agree order cycles, delivery days, forecast receipt dates
Ensure LT's & MOQ alignment with customers through scheduled quarterly reviews
Review SO (Sales Order) Exception report on a weekly basis
Weekly management of past due orders. Re-dating of SO in-line with availability dates, customer notification of order non-fulfilment, cancellation of back orders (relevant only to Brands)
As a key stakeholder in the Demand S&OP process, support the monthly Pre-S&OP review with the Forecast Analyst and Commercial Team within inputs, insights and customer commentary to aid the generation of a robust customer forecast.
Agree consensus forecast with Commercial Team and Forecast Analyst and present latest view at the Monthly Demand S&OP review
Education & Experience
* A level (or equivalent) and/or Degree Level
* Spoken and written English Language
* Strong Excel / analytical skills
Preferred Criteria
* Experience in a Demand / Supply / or Inventory related role
* Able to work as part of a team and demonstrate team working attributes
* Excellent communication skills – able to communicate to a variety of different stakeholders
