Are you passionate, dynamic, enthusiastic, well-organised, and eager to join our team?
Would you like a better work/life balance, with the nearest beach no more than 15 minutes away? If so, we are looking for you!
Our Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) is a busy Level 1 unit providing 10 cots, including 2 HDU cots, 4 Special Care cots, and a 4-bedded Transitional Care Service.
We care for babies and their families from 32 weeks gestation, providing stabilization for babies born earlier or critically ill term neonates prior to retrieval by the Peninsula Neonatal Transport Team.
Responsibilities include:
1. Working effectively within the ward team as an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and innovative nurse.
2. Possessing an RN, RSCN, RN Child, or RM qualification.
3. Completing Neonatal Modules is desirable, but a willingness to work towards them is acceptable.
4. Experience in a neonatal environment is desirable, including recent placement experience as a student.
We welcome applications from nurses in adult areas wishing to transfer their skills to a neonatal setting. We offer a supportive, friendly environment with the neonate and family at the centre. The unit operates an 11.5-hour shift system covering days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
You will join a passionate team committed to providing safe, high-quality, and compassionate care.
