Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.
THE ROLE
1. As a Lead HV Battery Engineer System Engineer you will responsible for design, product & BMS development, Test & validation requirements at both component and vehicle level for different markets and verify them. You will provide technical expertise in HV Battery and Powertrain.
2. Our vehicle program and development is a growing industry area for Tata Technologies Limited. This position would be working within the Engineering Research and Development area of Tata Technologies and specifically on Vehicle Programmes.
3. The position requires a highly motivated person and team player who understands HV Battery requirements and system requirements throughout the Electrified Powertrain and Battery management system.
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
4. Responsible for functional, BMS and component delivery of HV Battery and systems within the areas of Electrified Powertrain.
5. Responsible for HV Battery systems (Development, delivery and validation):
Design reviews,
Requirements definition/management,
Generate test plans and supplier test plan reviews
Involvement in systems FMEA’s and management of supplier DFMEA
System and component feature and BMS SW implementation planning
6. Develop the System Design Specifications & the Statements of Work for all projects within portfolio.
7. Validate that all products meet the specification requirements and project targets through a documented DVP
8. Ensure all requirements are captured and monitored against test results.
9. Monitor system issues
10. Assist in firefighting and ensure lessons learned are captured in component/system requirements.
11. Assess system HV strategies, develop and propose improvements to vehicle and component level strategies, propose validation and gain buy-in from stakeholders.
12. You will lead the technical discussions to deliver robust fault free designs through the application of Concurrent Engineering disciplines including DFMEA, DFA, DFM, Campaign Prevention Process, Robustness, etc.
13. Agree and sign off the component/system requirements with different stakeholders for each domain.
14. Involvement during vehicle system architecture and strategy discussions to meet vehicle requirements and ensure all functional safety requirements are captured.
