A lovely new role working for a global household business that owns many popular brands. They are seeking an experienced and ambitious Procurement Manager to join their team.
This role reports to the Head of Category Management and manages key spend categories such as MRO, International Freight, Warehousing, Operational Spend, and Utilities. The role is suitable for someone with a broad range of indirect category management experience.
Role and responsibilities:
* Create strategies and oversee their delivery, including achieving annualized savings
* Develop group-wide category plans and strategies to ensure alignment, leveraging suppliers to support local offices
* Engage, manage, and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level to secure buy-in, utilizing strong market knowledge
* Build relationships with key stakeholders to gain comprehensive knowledge of supplier performance
* Monitor supplier risk and performance through reporting tools and business feedback
* Demonstrate procurement leadership by embodying company values and promoting procurement excellence
* Ensure strategic projects are delivered on time and that the business receives optimal service in line with cost efficiency
Experience and requirements:
* Experience in indirect category management within a large, complex organization
* Preferred categories include Warehousing, International Freight, MRO, Logistics & Operations
* Procurement experience in the private sector, ideally within a global business
* Experience managing complex global projects with Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers of significant value
* Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across regions
* Strategic mindset towards procurement, suppliers, and business needs
* Excellent communication skills across different cultures and countries
* Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
* MCIPS qualification preferred but not essential
