About Our Client
WWF-UK is a large environmental Non-Governmental Organisation with an annual budget of more than annual spend on third party suppliers of more than £35m. The Procurement Manager role is a key member of the Procurement and Environmental Management department .The unit is responsible for insuring the best value for money spend and reduce the risks with our suppliers, leading the procurement process for larger and strategic contracts.
Job Description
The role will manage the category of spend in collaboration with internal stakeholder from development of category strategies to implementation to ensure optimised quality, TCO, and high service level across the business.The role will need to work closely as a procurement business partner with different departments for several categories of indirect spend procured by the organisation including.The main category of focus will be Indirect categories ( for example Travel, RH) and direct (good for sales) which is the within the portfolio.This role reports to the Head of Procurement and could deputises for them in their absence. The role is an actor in the development of the wider organisation's procurement function including successful implementation of process and governance. The role is also responsible for driving improvements across the organisation in procurement practice and for ensuring that the organisation's procurement and contract management is proactive and can be demonstrated to be best in class.
The Successful Applicant
3. To create and implement procurement strategies for defined spend portfolios to include: Spend and contract owners' identification and services to their queries, Facilitation of strategic process with cross-functional team, Creation and implementation tender and contracts, supplier management.
4. Chair certain tender boards and lead the procurement process for the designated categories.
5. Provide advice and guidance on procurement best practices across all levels of the organisation.
6. Participating in creation and improvement of procurement systems, policies and procedures.
7. Participating in the procurement reporting to senior management and trustees
8. Provide high quality support, advice, guidance and training regarding procurement or suppliers activities to various level of staff involved in WWF-UK.

10. Hybrid working - 1 day per week on site in Woking
