Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our well established step 2 team in Cheshire West NHS Talking Therapies Service. Post holders must be registered with the BABCP or BPS, or working towards registration.
Main duties of the job
* Provide step 2, NICE compliant interventions using digital platforms, remote technology, telephone and face-to-face, on an individual and group basis.
* Deliver low intensity psychological interventions in accordance with NICE guidelines to individuals in Western Cheshire.
* Work flexibly to cover expanding service hours as required.
* Maintain NHS Talking Therapies targets and contribute to service improvement.
Qualifications
* Graduate-level qualification from a PWP training course (postgraduate certificate or level 3 undergraduate course) or equivalent experience.
* Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, counselling or within a psychological therapy.
* Relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree in psychology or a health‑related field.
Knowledge and Expertise
* Understanding of anxiety and depression and how they may present in primary care.
* Knowledge of medications used in anxiety and depression and other common mental health problems.
* Ability to use evidence‑based psychological therapies.
* Excellent presentation skills for large groups.
Experience
* Evidence of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem.
* High standards in written communication and report writing.
* Experience in primary care services, including meeting agreed targets and managing caseloads.
* Knowledge of the local community and its needs.
Benefits
Salary: £32,073 to £39,043 per annum, pro rata. NHS Working Hours. Guaranteed DBS update service fee of £16 per year. Counselling and training support.
