General Summary:
Job Overview - Department Description and Job Duties:
The role of a Staff Engineer, Analogue Design, is to act as a key contributor to the design, implementation, and verification of complex power-management blocks and subsystems for Qualcomm’s connectivity, Voice, and Music chips. The engineer will contribute to specifications, design, verification, macro-level architectures, and define new features and market-driven enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a key contributor in complex environments.
* Define architecture for power-management blocks, plan and develop these blocks, and document for characterization.
* Deliver fully verified blocks and participate in verifying power-management subsystems within the analogue section of a chip.
* Solve complex problems in constrained environments.
* Design analogue sub-cells and small subsystems.
* Stay updated on new developments and serve as a technical expert in analogue sub-cell design.
* Ensure quality and timely delivery of subsystems in collaboration with macro leads.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, or related experience.
OR
Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
OR
PhD with 2+ years of experience.
Minimum Experience:
Candidate should have:
* At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
* Experience designing key power management IPs like SMPS, LDOs.
* Good understanding of analog design principles.
* Ability to coordinate with different teams and define requirements.
* Experience in designing various power-management blocks.
Preferred Experience:
* Proficiency in analogue design and verification techniques.
* Experience with Cadence and Mentor analogue design tools.
* Knowledge of Matlab and system design tools for architecture and specification definition.
* Good teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
