Care Assistant
Location: The Bridles, Dykes Way, Wincanton, BA9 9FQ
Salary: £12.80 – £13.80 per hour (depending on experience)
Shift pattern: 7:30 am – 7:30 pm (day) and 7:30 pm – 7:30 am (night)
Employment type: Permanent – full time.
Key Responsibilities
* Support residents with a wide range of requirements, from companionship to personal care.
* Observe and manage residents' behaviour, documenting and reporting any changes in accordance with legislation.
* Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
* Provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
* Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
* Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.
