Position Overview
Join Autodesk's Product Development and Manufacturing Solutions division as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, spearheading the development of cloud-based automation and AI-powered capabilities for Fusion, our flagship CAD/CAM software. Your role involves leveraging your engineering and research expertise to develop scalable, secure AI/ML solutions that impact millions of users globally.
You will guide the team in designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML models and services, ensuring they meet industry standards and governance requirements such as SOC2 and ISO 42001. This position offers a collaborative environment focused on innovation and rapid iteration, allowing you to actively shape the future of design and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
* Design and develop cloud-based data preparation pipelines for ML model development in CAD/CAM.
* Optimize pipelines for throughput, latency, and cost.
* Develop and enhance ML models based on current research.
* Integrate ML models into applications and improve existing models using techniques like transfer learning.
* Develop AI/ML-powered applications and address CAD/CAM challenges with ML methods.
* Review industry literature and collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate research into product development.
* Mentor junior researchers and engineers; publish research findings and represent Autodesk at industry events.
Requirements
* Proven research background in AI/ML, high-performance computing, big data, or related fields.
* Experience developing AI/ML solutions with real-world applications and users.
* Proficiency in Python and JavaScript; C++ is a plus.
* Strong analytical skills and good software architecture practices.
* Hands-on work ethic.
Preferred Requirements
* Experience with AWS services like ECS, EC2, Lambda, IAM.
* Understanding of governance standards (SOC2, ISO 42001, EU AI Act).
* Experience with large-scale ML frameworks for data preparation and training.
