About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Careers Adviser (Level 6) to deliver high‑quality, impartial careers guidance to students in a school/college setting. You will support learners in making informed decisions about their future pathways, including university, apprenticeships, and employment, in line with the Gatsby Benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 careers guidance interviews to students (Level 6 standard)
* Support students with UCAS applications, personal statements, and career planning
* Deliver group sessions on employability, progression routes, and labour market information (LMI)
* Work with SLT and the Careers Leader to meet Gatsby Benchmarks
* Build relationships with employers, universities, and apprenticeship providers
* Maintain accurate records of student guidance and destinations data
* Support careers events, workshops, and work experience programmes
About You
* Level 6 Careers Guidance qualification (CIAG) – essential
* Experience delivering careers advice in schools, colleges, or similar settings
* Strong knowledge of UK education pathways, UCAS, apprenticeships, and LMI
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to engage and motivate young people
Desirable
* Experience in FE college or sixth form setting
* Knowledge of Gatsby Benchmarks and Ofsted expectations
* Experience working with SEN or vulnerable learners
