This role offers a dynamic split-location working environment, combining office-based responsibilities with hands-on technical support at subcontractor sites. You will play a key role in technical problem-solving, process improvement, and staff support, helping to maintain high standards across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform testing, debugging, and fault finding on hardware systems
* Carry out soldering and rework to support testing and repair activities
* Provide on-site technical support to subcontractor teams
* Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency
* Support training and guidance of staff where required
* Accurately document test results and technical data
* Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and attention to detail
Skills & Experience Required
* Genuine passion for engineering and technology
* Strong diagnostic and technical problem-solving skills
* Practical experience with soldering, debugging, and fault finding
* Knowledge of hardware systems or manufacturing environments
* Proactive mindset with an interest in continuous improvement
* Competent in ICT, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and data management tools
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support and train others
* Self-motivated with strong organisation and time management skills
