About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager to join their nursing care home team. The role involves supporting the Registered Manager, leading staff, and ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for residents, with a focus on dementia care.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the dementia unit, ensuring safe, compassionate care.
*
Provide RMN clinical leadership, operational oversight, and continuous quality improvement aligned to CQC standards and best practice.
*
Support the Registered Manager across administration, care, catering, housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance functions.
*
Deputise for the Registered Manager when required, supporting their decisions.
*
Maintain professional skills and complete required training.
*
Ensure compliance with infection control policies and report concerns.
*
Oversee assessment, care planning, and review processes, ensuring trauma-informed, person-centred care.
*
Manage BPSD, medication monitoring, and clinical risks (falls, nutrition, pressure care, pain, delirium).
*
Chair or attend multidisciplinary team meetings and coordinate input from GPs, CMHT, SALT, OT, physio, and pharmacy.
*
Ensure accurate documentation, incident reporting, and clinical audits.
Requirements:

Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) with dementia care experience.
*
Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
*
Ability to maintain high standards of care while managing operational challenges.
