What’s the role?
When teaching Nutrition, you will:
* Deliver engaging lessons focused on nutrition, healthy eating, food preparation and food science
* Support students in developing practical and theoretical knowledge
* Work closely with experienced mentors and teaching professionals
* Complete a recognised teacher training programme leading to QTS
What does the training look like?
The programme is structured to help you grow in confidence and ability:
* 4 days in school – gaining hands-on experience
* 1 day per week – PGCE study and professional development
* Term 1: Observe experienced teachers and support lessons to learn the fundamentals
* Term 2: Begin planning and delivering your own lessons
* Term 3: Take on more responsibility and refine your teaching style
You’ll be supported throughout the process with a dedicated mentor, ongoing feedback and a structured training programme.
Who are we looking for?
* Graduates with a Nutrition, Food Sciences or related degree (2:1 or above preferred)
* Strong A-Levels
