Overview
Take a proactive lead role in the development and expansion of the Talking Therapies service in collaboration with the Clinical Lead and Team Manager, supporting the management team with service promotion and achievement of Key Performance Indicators.
Responsibilities
* Lead development and expansion of the Talking Therapies service.
* Support the management team with service promotion and achieving Key Performance Indicators.
* Manage the growing teams, providing supervisory, managerial and service development responsibilities.
* Provide high quality therapy to adults with moderate to severe mental health problems, including those with a degree of complexity, in accordance with NICE guidelines.
* Work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and may be called upon to work in various settings.
Qualifications
* Post‑graduate Talking Therapies qualification in a High Intensity Therapy (HIT) modality and be accredited or working towards this.
* Substantial experience as a HIT in a Talking Therapy service, managing complex client presentations and providing formal clinical supervision to qualified staff and trainees.
* Evidence of regular CPD and relevant accreditation.
* Professional qualification in health or social care (e.g., RMN or Social Worker) – desirable.
* Psychology degree – desirable.
* Experience with long‑term health conditions – desirable.
* Experience working in a primary care setting – desirable.
* Knowledge of NICE guidelines, Biopsychosocial assessment, referral management, record keeping and evidence‑based brief psychological interventions – desirable.
* Experience in a community setting – desirable.
* Leadership and delegation skills with experience of line management – desirable.
* Experience with child protection/vulnerable adult legislation – desirable.
* Experience in multi‑disciplinary teamwork and partnership working – desirable.
* Experience delivering evidence‑based Talking Therapies high intensity interventions, mentorship, training and supervision – desirable.
* Clarity of post‑qualifying experience in a community setting – desirable.
