Overview
The role of NWAS Vehicle Technician is to ensure all Trust vehicles (Petrol / Diesel / Hybrid and EV) are serviced, repaired and maintained to the Trust and DVSA's exacting standards. The post incorporates the skilled service and repair of specialist ambulance equipment. Working in a modern workshop environment, our vehicle technicians benefit from significant levels of training, job satisfaction, and an opportunity to progress their current skill sets and CPD whilst being supported by a dedicated management team structure, ensuring our teams have everything available to maximise vehicle throughput, reduce workshop delays and minimise supply chain frustrations.
Responsibilities
* Service, repair and maintain Trust vehicles (Petrol / Diesel / Hybrid and EV) to Trust and DVSA standards.
* Repair specialist ambulance equipment.
Qualifications
Must hold a recognised apprenticeship, e.g. Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent experience along with NVQ or C&G Level 3 qualifications. A full UK driving licence is essential for this post, including full Category C1 entitlement.
Salary & Benefits
* Shift allowance applicable (approximately 12.5% uplift on top of basic salary).
* Basic Salary: £31,049 to £37,796 per annum (AFC Band 5).
