Head of Learning (Business, Learning and Development)
Chichester College, part of the Chichester College Group, invites applications for a Head of Learning based in Chichester. The role is full‑time and offers a competitive salary of £56,552‑£61,803 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage staff, finance, management information and resources within the curriculum area in line with the College Group’s values, behaviours, policies, procedures and regulations.
* Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the curriculum cluster, raising the quality of the learning experience and student satisfaction.
* Research and develop the curriculum offer to meet the evolving needs of students, employers and the local community, considering legislative changes, Ofsted and local skills improvement plans.
* Participate in the College Group’s ‘Proud to be’ approach to student behaviour management to support students to attend, engage, progress and achieve their best.
* Inspire and enable the highest standards of teaching, learning and assessment within the curriculum cluster, ensuring students develop knowledge, skills and abilities in a secure, challenging environment.
* Ensure target enrolments and budgets are met, high teaching standards are maintained, and student retention and achievement are maximised across all provision.
Required Skills and Experience
* Certificate in Education or Post Graduate Certificate in Education, or equivalent.
* Level 3 qualification relevant to the area of teaching expertise.
* Experience in further education curriculum delivery, planning and administration.
* A proven record of promoting teaching, learning and assessment to a consistently high standard.
* Strong time‑management, organisational skills and ability to meet targets and deadlines.
* Innovative and creative approach to meeting the needs of learners, customers and staff.
