Quality Inspector – Focus on Supplier Parts Inspection, Auditing & Final Vehicle Quality

Key Responsibilities
Supplier Parts Inspection
Carry out detailed inspection of supplier‑delivered components to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
Perform dimensional checks, material verification, and documentation review to ensure full conformity.
Record and report supplier quality issues, supporting the Supplier Quality team in managing vendor performance.
In‑Process & Patrol Inspection
Conduct routine patrol, batch, and in‑process inspections across production areas to maintain consistent product quality.
Monitor critical characteristics and support teams in resolving quality concerns at the point of manufacture.
Final Inspection on Vehicles
Complete comprehensive final inspections on assembled vehicles prior to customer release.
Verify installation accuracy, functionality, compliance with build documents, and overall product condition.
Approve finished vehicles for dispatch or escalate issues through the non-conformance process.
Quality Auditing & Compliance
Support internal process audits and ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015 and company quality procedures.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying risks, recommending corrective actions, and supporting root cause analysis.
Quality Data & Reporting
Accurately record inspection results, maintain traceability documentation, and ensure data integrity.
Communicate quality performance trends to production, engineering, and supplier teams.
Raise and manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and segregate non‑conforming material.
What You Bring
Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, auditing practices, and inspection techniques.
Experience with supplier component inspection and final product acceptance, ideally within automotive, defence, or advanced manufacturing.
Confidence interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for documentation and reporting.
Understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and compliance reporting.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining world‑class quality standards.
