As a Nursing Associate within Bupa’s Diagnostics & Secondary Care services, you’ll provide holistic, person‑centred care to patients across a modern outpatient and procedural environment. You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting Registered Nurses and contributing directly to safe, effective and compassionate care delivery.
How you’ll help us make health happen
1. Deliver compassionate, safe and effective care across a range of clinical settings.
2. Maintain patient privacy, dignity and safety at all times.
3. Monitor patients’ health needs, escalating changes and contributing to care planning and reassessment.
4. Complete clinical risk assessments using recognised tools.
5. Administer medications via oral, topical, inhalation, injection and suppository routes in line with scope of practice.
6. Support and oversee the care delivered by HCAs, Trainee Nursing Associates and Nursing Students.
7. Communicate clearly and sensitively with patients, families and colleagues, ensuring accurate verbal, digital and written information.
8. Recognise and report risks, concerns or incidents that could impact care quality or safety.
9. Support individuals’ physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing, including safeguarding and consent.
10. Participate in audits, stock management and service processes that support smooth operational delivery.
Key Skills / Qualifications
Essential
11. NMC‑registered Nursing Associate.
12. Venepuncture and cannulation competency.
13. Experience within a Nursing Associate role, including risk assessment and outpatient care.
14. Knowledge of outpatient procedures and radiology (including safe sedation exposure).
15. Strong communication, time‑management and organisational skills.
Desirable
16. Immunisation training; ILS training.
17. Experience across multiple specialties.
