We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our clients finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing accurate financial information, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring effective financial control across the business. This position is ideal for a proactive finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with both finance and operational stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Produce variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods. Assist in the preparation of monthly board packs and financial commentary. Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts. Support the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts. Work collaboratively with department managers to provide financial insight and challenge assumptions. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support commercial decision-making. Provide cost analysis, margin analysis, and profitability reporting. Support financial modelling and scenario planning as required. Monitor KPIs and assist in the development of new performance measures. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Review processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Work closely with operational teams to explain financial performance and drive accountability. Build strong relationships across finance and non-finance functions. Present financial insights in a clear, concise manner to all levels of the business. Key Skills & Attributes Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or equivalent experience. Strong Excel and financial systems skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical abilities. Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively. Strong communication skills, able to translate financial data into meaningful insight. High attention to detail with a proactive, continuous-improvement mindset. Commercial awareness and ability to understand business drivers.
