HGV Class 2 Refuse Collection Driver – Blackburn £14.92 per Hour | Temp to Perm Opportunity | Immediate Starts Available | Weekly Pay Driver Hire Blackburn is currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Collection Driver to work with a leading waste management and business recycling company based in Blackburn. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking Class 2 Driver looking for ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position with a well-established employer. ♻️ The Role As a Class 2 Refuse Collection Driver, you will be responsible for collecting commercial and business waste from customers across Blackburn and the surrounding areas. Working alongside a team of loaders, you will ensure collections are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures. Typical duties include: Driving a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle. Completing scheduled commercial waste and recycling collections. Working closely with loaders and collection crews. Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting. Ensuring all collections are completed safely and on time. Operating within residential, industrial and commercial environments. Completing paperwork and electronic records as required. Adhering to all driver hours and road transport regulations. Working Hours Monday to Friday Early morning starts Full-time hours Ongoing work Temp to Perm opportunity for the right candidate ✅ Requirements Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence. Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card. Digital Tachograph Card. Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred. Experience within waste management, refuse collection, recycling or multi-drop operations advantageous. Good awareness of health and safety procedures. Reliable, professional and customer-focused attitude. Pay & Benefits £14.92 per hour PAYE. Weekly pay. Ongoing, regular work. Temp to Perm opportunity. Full support from Driver Hire Blackburn.
