We are currently seeking a compassionate and patient 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. The successful candidate will provide invaluable support to a student in Y3 with special educational needs (SEN) and contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Responsibilities : Work closely with the identified student, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs and promote their academic, social, and emotional development. Assist the student in accessing the curriculum, adapting materials and resources as necessary. Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to implement individualized learning plans and accommodations for the student. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging the student's participation and engagement. Monitor and track the student's progress, providing feedback and reports to the class teacher and SENCO. Requirements : Previous experience supporting students with special educational needs or relevant experience. Knowledge and understanding of different types of SEN and strategies to support student learning and well-being. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with the student, parents, and colleagues. Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations. A commitment to promoting inclusion and equality in education.
