About NEP: Join one of the UK’s most exciting and pioneering projects – the Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) is developing onshore and offshore infrastructure needed to transport CO2 from carbon capture projects across Teesside and the Humber – collectively known as the East Coast Cluster – to secure storage under the North Sea. The infrastructure is crucial to achieving net zero in the UK’s most carbon-intensive industrial regions. This is a first-of-its-kind, utterly unique and extremely exciting start-up organisation. NEP is in an incorporated joint venture established solely to develop and operate CO₂ transportation and storage infrastructure on behalf of the NEP Shareholders – BP, Equinor and Total Energies.

Your new role
As themercial Finance Analyst, you will play a central role in the economic evaluation of major Carbon Capture Storage (CCS) Transport & Storage infrastructure investments. This includes developing robust investment appraisal cash flow models, analysing cost drivers, supportingmercial strategy, and enabling evidence‑based decision‑making for multi‑billion‑pound CCS assets.The role provides core analytical support to the entire team, ensuringmercial, regulatory, and technical assumptions are integrated into consistent economic frameworks that inform FID decisions, stakeholder reporting and long‑term planning.Key deliverables will include:

What you'll need to succeed
Essential:-
4. Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, business, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
5. Strong economic modelling and analytical skills
6. Knowledge of project economics (discounted cash flow, NPV, IRR, sensitivity analysis).
7. Experience inmercial analysis, corporate finance, or business planning—ideally in energy, infrastructure, or capital‑intensive industries.
8. Ability to interpretplex data and translate it into clearmercial insights.
9. Strong attention to detail.
10. Excellentmunication skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
Desirable:
11. Experience of project financing or major capital projects.
12. Experience supportingmercial negotiations or contract development
13. Experience in regulated industries.
