Junior Electrical Estimator
Location: Manchester (with flexibility to travel to sites as required)

Imperial Engineering Contractors are a well-established electrical contractor working across the commercial, industrial and fit-out sectors. We deliver projects nationwide for blue-chip clients, developers, and leading main contractors, providing expertise in LV distribution, lighting, fire alarms, data, and mechanical power supplies.
As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Junior Electrical Estimator to join our estimating team and develop a career within the commercial side of electrical contracting.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Senior Estimator and Directors, the successful candidate will assist with:
* Preparing and issuing electrical tender packages.
* Producing take-offs and quantities from drawings and specifications.
* Reviewing and analysing supplier/subcontractor quotations.
* Compiling competitive and compliant tender submissions.
* Preparing cost breakdowns and analysis for management review.
* Building and maintaining strong working relationships with our supply chain.
* Supporting handover of successful tenders to the project delivery team.
The Candidate
We are open to two possible candidate routes:
* Craft/Trade Route – A qualified electrician (Level 3 NVQ/AM2 or equivalent) with site experience who is now looking to move into estimating and commercial management.
* Technical Route – A candidate with an HNC (or higher) in Building Services / Electrical Engineering, with an interest in developing a career in estimating.
Essential Requirements:
* Good understanding of electrical installations in commercial or industrial environments.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to learn with support from experienced estimators.
