Deputy Housing Support Manager
Location: KT22 post code area of Leatherhead in Surrey.
Working full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
Responsibilities
* Support the HSM on site and deputise in Her/His absence, managing the team including staff supervision and appraisal of named staff and resident volunteers, ensuring they receive appropriate support, training and development.
* Support the HSM in ensuring the team provides high‑quality housing and support services to client groups such as young people, 16+ with occasional challenging behaviour, people with mental illness, learning disabilities, and single vulnerable homeless people.
* Provide holistic one‑to‑one support to named clients to encourage personal development, manage risk effectively, and help them achieve their goals and live independently where possible.
* Ensure the team carries out housing management activities including rent collection, tenancy enforcement, reporting maintenance issues, and conducting health and safety checks, maintaining a firm but empathetic approach to support clients in keeping their licences or tenancies.

Qualifications
* Can build professional, non‑judgmental relationships with people with complex needs.
* Is confident working with individuals experiencing drug and alcohol dependence.
* Communicates effectively with clients, colleagues and partner agencies.
* Can manage risk appropriately and escalates concerns where necessary.
* Is organised and able to manage their own workload.
* Has basic numeracy and written communication skills (GCSE Maths and English level 4 or equivalent).
* Is confident using IT systems (Excel, Word, Outlook, internet).
* Holds a full driving licence and has access to a vehicle for work purposes.
