As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, you will plan and implement care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know our residents and their families, helping to deliver truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants and be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care, while influencing the rest of the team. You may assist with showing how to use a walking frame, helping at the end of life, or communicating with a resident’s family, always with kindness.
You will be involved in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication, in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager. You will maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with your team.
Responsibilities
* Plan and implement care to give residents security, dignity and independence.
* Know residents and their families to deliver personalised care plans.
* Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain high standards of care.
* Assist residents with daily activities (e.g., mobility aids, meals) and communicate with families as needed.
* Support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager; provide social and recreational activities; administer medication where required.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and build strong team relationships.
Qualifications & Experience
* Ideally completed a Level 2 Diploma/S/NVQ in Adult Social Care and prepared to work towards Level 3 or equivalent.
* Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
* Strong record-keeping, time management and communication skills; positive energy and ability to get along with people.
