As part of our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Transport Administrator to join our expanding team. This is an excellent development opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the recycling, logistics, and sustainability sectors.
The Person
This role requires a highly organised and motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced environment. You'll need to be customer-focused, have strong administrative skills, and ideally possess some knowledge of transport or recycling logistics.
We are looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives on accuracy, and can confidently communicate with both customers and colleagues.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
* Inputting transport jobs into our CRM system
* Collating and reporting Proof of Deliveries
* Monitoring daily collections and deliveries, ensuring everything runs smoothly
* Proactively reporting any operational issues affecting customer collections or deliveries
* Handling customer queries and complaints, following them through to resolution
* Assisting with project work and process improvements
* Providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the transport office
Criteria
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience working in a busy administration role and liaising with customers
* Excellent organisation and time-management skills
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people
* High attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Desirable:
* Experience in transport, logistics, or recycling industries
* Knowledge of waste management compliance and reporting
