Are you a natural leader with a drive for operational excellence and a passion for continuous improvement? If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy bringing structure and innovation to warehouse operations, this is your chance to make a real impact.
We’re looking for a proactive, solutions-focused Warehouse Manager to take the reins of a busy depot operating across extended hours—from 4am to 10pm. You'll lead a multi-shift team, manage daily operations, and play a key role in reshaping the warehouse for future growth.
The Opportunity
This is more than a management role—it’s a chance to lead change from the ground up. Whether it’s introducing a new picking system, implementing barcode tagging, or rethinking warehouse layout, you’ll have the autonomy and backing to deliver meaningful improvements.
You’ll be responsible for performance, compliance, process improvement, and driving KPIs such as pick accuracy and stock integrity—all while making sure your team delivers an exceptional customer experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead and manage a warehouse team across two shifts (morning and afternoon), ensuring high performance and accountability
* Oversee daily warehouse operations: returns, picking, loading, stock control
* Improve systems and processes, introducing better tracking, accuracy, and flow
* Own performance metrics and reporting for KPIs, budgets, and forecasts
* Manage people responsibilities: 1-2-1s, recruitment, return-to-works, and holiday approvals
* Ensure smooth shift transitions by covering the key 12pm–2pm crossover window
* Champion a tidy, safe, and efficient warehouse site
* Support implementation of new equipment, tagging and system integration
* Collaborate across departments to improve the customer journey and internal communication
Requirements
* Solid leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, or hire environments
* Experience driving team performance through KPIs and hands-on coaching
* A track record of delivering operational improvements and systems changes
* High energy and a practical, can-do approach
* Comfortable leading a team working from 4am–10pm (you'll work flexible hours, as long as you cover 12–2pm)
* Great communication skills and a sharp eye for detail
* Physical ability to assist with stock movement where needed
* Bonus if you’ve worked with Lean Six Sigma or similar improvement frameworks.
The Team
* Morning shift: 2–3 team members
* Afternoon shift: 6–7 team members
* Operations span early mornings to late evenings; your leadership will provide the consistency and standards needed to keep things running smoothly.
Benefits
* £40,000-£50,000
* 25 Days Holiday (with Bank Holiday’s on top)
* Company Pension
* Flexible hours
* Special recognition and rewards incentives
* Fully stocked food and drinks cupboards
