Requirements which will allow you to be successful as an Asbestos Surveyor:
1. BOHS P402 qualified
2. A valid driving license
3. Strong knowledge of asbestos-related legislation, regulations, and guidelines
4. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately record and document survey findings
5. Proficient computer skills, including experience with survey software and Microsoft Office
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously
8. Ability to travel to various sites as required
Responsibilities as an Asbestos Surveyor:
1. Conducting thorough asbestos surveys in accordance with HSE guidelines and regulations
2. Identifying and sampling suspected asbestos-containing materials
3. Recording accurate and detailed survey findings using digital or paper-based systems
4. Assessing the condition and risk of identified asbestos materials
5. Providing clear and concise reports to clients, including recommendations for management or removal
6. Collaborating with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met
7. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of asbestos legislation, industry standards, and best practices
8. Communicating effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
