The Ministry of Defence Police (MDP) is a civilian police force that protects the UK's Defence community, capabilities and assets. Our Force consists of armed officers, specialist policing roles and professional civilian staff who work seamlessly with the Ministry of Defence, US Visiting Forces, and other policing and security partners. With stations across the United Kingdom, our presence extends from nuclear facilities to military sites and government buildings. We are offering a permanent opportunity for an Admin Officer, where you\'ll be an integral part of the MDP at RAF Menwith Hill. In this role you will be responsible for the roster management of our police operation.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Job description
To load all rosters onto Global Rostering System (GRS) with at least 3 roster periods, maintain officers leave records.
Make daily amendments to roster to cover short notice sickness, leave and detached duties (long term or short term). Produce shortfalls sheets to inform stations in advance. Record sickness on GRS.
Balance Officers hours for the roster period and input Overtime and Toil with the correct Overtime and Toil rate and reason and sub reason.
Input Officers training courses, in conjunction with Menwith Hill training Manager, when the courses are loaded on Chronicle.
Deliver familiarisation training to officers on GRS Client and GRS Web Portal.
Build shift patterns and apply to roster, insert Public Holidays.
Check group mailbox and assign email to relevant personnel and liaise with Chronicle to confirm officer\’s have expired skills and record on GRS.
Quality assure details of all Officers are correct,
Callsigns and beat codes to be created and applied through Control Works and Chronicle.
