We are currently working in partnership with an innovative and leading regional employer based in Birmingham city centre, who are recruiting for an Organisational Design, Change & Transformation Lead on a 6 month interim contract.
The position is due to start immediately, with hybrid working (3 days from home) and a rate of £600 per day (inside IR35).
This role is key to the organisation, responsible for the Organisational Effectiveness agenda – specifically leading functions such as organisation transformation, development, design, change, talent acquisition, leadership and capability development, professions and workforce planning strategies.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Leading the delivery of workforce transformation, organisation design, culture, talent management and leadership development.
* Leading major change programmes that shape the future workforce, structure and leadership capability.
* Acting as senior adviser to the Chief People & Culture Officer and Executive Board Directors on people change, transformation and organisational effectiveness.
* Overseeing the development and implementation of strategies for workforce planning, talent acquisition and talent management.
* Shaping and leading system‑wide organisation development and design initiatives within a complex organisation.
* Overseeing the development of the Employee Engagement Plan and Employee Proposition.
* Overseeing the Talent Management, Leadership and Management Development strategies and input into Reward and Recognition strategies.
* Leading and shaping all aspects of organisational design and people capability to deliver new operating models and structures to support strategic objectives.
* Leading the development and delivery of inclusive leadership and behavioural frameworks.
* Overseeing the delivery of Organisation Development and Change programmes, and team effectiveness to support talent management pathways.
Experience/Skills required:
* Significant Director‑level leadership in organisational development, change or people transformation.
* Proven experience of leading cross‑functional and organisation‑wide change programmes.
* Track record of influencing Boards, Executives and external stakeholders.
* Experience working in a unionised environment.
* Expertise in OD, organisational design, leadership development and inclusive culture.
* Fellow CIPD Level 7 or equivalent senior qualification in OD, HR or Change – or demonstrable equivalent experience.
This is a highly visible role and the ideal candidate would be on‑site 2 to 3 days each week.
