Aureos are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support on their SSE Distribution Framework.
Aureos has been awarded a place on the Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks long-term capital project delivery framework, expected to last 4 years. This highlights our growing strength and reputation in designing and delivering complex energy infrastructure transition schemes across the UK.
Aureos will carry out network upgrades to electricity infrastructure in one of three allocated areas within SSEN’s central southern England distribution area, covering villages, towns, and cities across rural and urban areas from Berkshire and West London to Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, and Hampshire.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall profit and loss of standard/complex project(s) while ensuring delivery on time with the highest standards of safety, sustainability, environmental, and quality measures. You will maintain a collaborative working environment that effectively manages client, internal, and stakeholder requirements, motivating employees to deliver. Additionally, you will support in winning projects aligned with the Power T&D Strategic Plan.
Responsibilities
1. Work collaboratively with the Head of Transmission, Regional Manager, and Support Functions to deliver your projects and strengthen team relationships across the business.
2. Plan, control, and manage your project(s), utilizing necessary resources and skills within agreed cost, timescale, and quality parameters, ensuring safety.
3. Instill a strong safety culture and develop the capability of project teams to take personal responsibility through visible leadership.
4. Drive compliance with all business policies, procedures, and governance.
5. Lead the development of a high-performance culture within the team.
6. Communicate positively and listen actively across the business and with team members.
7. Support the tender process.
8. Continuously seek out future talent.
9. Manage client expectations daily while promoting the value we bring.
Experience
* Proven management experience at a senior level.
* Experience managing and delivering overhead line, cabling, or substation schemes up to 400kV is preferable.
* Strong people management skills and a proven track record in tendering and managing standard, complex, or major projects, including subcontractors.
* Commercial awareness with knowledge of budgetary and financial control.
* Excellent relationship management skills.
* Ability to work across conflicting interest groups to develop solutions to complex operational and commercial problems.
* Comfortable with ambiguity, able to address sensitive issues, and lead cross-functional teams towards solutions.
