Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, with the ability to manage and lead a group of children in a nurturing and stimulating environment. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of young children, fostering their growth through engaging activities and effective communication. The role can be part time 3 full days a week (27 hours) or 41.5 hours per week 4.5 days
Duties
* Manage daily activities and routines for children within the nursery setting.
* Create and implement engaging educational programmes that promote early childhood development.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive and collaborative environment.
* Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities as necessary.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery space that encourages exploration and learning.
* Drive initiatives that enhance children's social, emotional, and cognitive skills through play-based learning.
* Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the highest standards of care are met.
Requirements
* Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education level 3 is required.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate both children and colleagues.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving within the nursery environment.
