Overview
We are seeking a motivated and organised individual to join our Building Control team as an Admin Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy office environment and has an interest in the construction and building control sector. The successful candidate will provide administrative support, assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Building Control department.
Responsibilities
* Answer phone calls and respond to enquiries
* Help process building control applications and documents
* Maintain and update files and records
* Schedule site inspections and meetings
* Assist with invoicing and payments
* Provide general administrative support to the team
Experience
* Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role (preferred, but not essential)
* Good understanding of building control regulations or willingness to learn
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Experience with database management or document management systems (desirable)
* Friendly, approachable and customer-focused attitude
