Practice Manager - Legal

As the Practice Manager, you'll be the linchpin connecting their vision with its execution. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors & CEO, you'll navigate a diverse and stimulating workload, ensuring the seamless delivery of their legal services. From managing the finance department to overseeing regulatory compliance and everything in between, you'll be at the heart of their operational excellence.
Your days will be filled with a rich tapestry of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Steering the ship of the finance department and back office
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks like SRA and SAR's
- Orchestrating the renewal of insurance, accreditation, and practising certificates
- Engaging in strategic negotiations with third-party suppliers
- Crafting and refining organisational and performance systems

The ideal candidate brings:
- Previous experience in a legal environment
- A deep understanding of the Solicitor Accounts Rules and SRA Handbook
- Prior experience as a COFA
- Stellar communication skills, both written and verbal
- A talent for meeting deadlines with finesse
- Strong IT proficiency

- Managing Lexcel applications and internal training for compliance
- Keeping policies and procedures up to date with regulatory guidelines
- Maintaining online presence through website management
- Coordinating with accountants for audits and financial reporting
- Handling VAT returns, payroll, and other financial obligations
- Overseeing insurance renewals and finance arrangements
- Providing support and supervision to the accounts and reception teams
- Facilitating staff training on software and systems
