The Clinical Trials Facility (CTF) is responsible for conducting clinical trials in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Endoscopy. It is located within the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford and collaborates with the Translational Gastroenterology and Liver Unit (TGLU). Oxford has a long-standing and distinguished tradition of experimental medicine and clinical research in both Gastroenterology and Hepatology. It is exceptionally well positioned to deliver clinical trials at local, national, and international levels, supported by clearly defined patient populations and a faculty of internationally recognised Gastroenterologists and Hepatologists.
We are seeking to appoint a Band Clinical Trials Administrator to provide high‑quality administrative support to a large and expanding research team. The postholder will play a key role in enabling the delivery of an exemplary research service for our patients. This role would suit a proactive, highly organised individual with excellent communication skills, who is able to provide comprehensive administrative support across the department. The successful candidate will be confident in liaising effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior consultants, managers, nursing staff, coordinators and external sponsors.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve delivering a consistently high standard of administrative support, including but not limited to supporting study set‑up activities, maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date study documentation, and coordinating staff training and records. The postholder will contribute to the smooth running of research activities and support the team in meeting regulatory and governance requirements.
The post holder will report to the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Clinical Trial Coordinators on a day‑to‑day basis and will work closely with all research staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team within the Clinical Trials Facility.
