Position Summary
An experienced Senior Commercial Account Handler is required by a growing major Insurance Broker to work with large corporate clients across a variety of sectors in the UK. The role offers opportunities to grow existing client relationships, focus on technical excellence, and operate within a flexible hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle the day‑to‑day service for clients, ensuring the highest level of service while providing technical advice on their cover.
* Liaise with the Client Management team to fully understand each client's business and insurance requirements.
* Attend client meetings and visits, including pre‑renewal and renewal meetings, and support insurer surveys.
* Identify potential improvements in client risk and insurance programme design and make recommendations.
* Negotiate renewal terms, mid‑term adjustments and cover extensions to achieve optimum solutions for clients.
* Prepare comprehensive marketing presentations and cover comparisons.
* Build and develop effective working relationships with insurers.
* Provide ongoing communication with clients following queries or alterations.
Qualifications & Skills
* Good all‑round commercial insurance experience with technical knowledge across a range of business classes.
* Desire to develop strong client and insurer relationships.
* Well‑developed negotiation skills.
* Ability to support colleagues in a close team environment.
* Excellent organisational skills.
