Overview
As a Chef de Partie you will assist the Sous Chef & Head Chef in delivering the Butlins food propositions.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for a specified section of the kitchen, ensuring the safe preparation, cooking, and presentation of the dishes, following set recipe specifications and brand standards.
* Overseeing and managing small teams of commis chefs, ensuring the delivery of the food proposition in accordance with food safety policy.
* As a Chef de Partie, deputise in the absence of the Sous Chef; manage and oversee the daily operations in your own section, ensuring efficiency and compliance with food safety policies.
* Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations, and mentor the Commis Chefs as needed.
* Prepare and cook dishes with pre-approved recipe specifications; complete relevant daily food diaries; contribute to controlling budget margins with support from the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Experience in a similar level role; able to lead a team to deliver high standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Hard-working, reliable, and proactive with a drive to improve team performance.
* Energetic and enthusiastic with a customer-focused approach to guest experience.
* Level 3 Food Safety qualification is ideal but not essential.
* Experience in managing margins and costs and knowledge of health, safety and hygiene practices.
Job Details
* Contract: Full-time, permanent
* Hours: 35 hours per week, 5 days over 7 to include weekends and late finishes; shifts from 7am to 12 midnight.
* Location: Butlin's, Grimsby, England, United Kingdom
* On-resort accommodation may be provided for those relocating.
