An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Practice Educator band 6 to join our senior nursing team on the Mary Anning Unit.
The Clinical Practice Educator is a new opportunity for the Unit. This role will enable the successful candidate to identify the training needs of all staff at ward level.
The Mary Anning Unit cares for the medically unwell older person aiming for positive patient outcomes and acting always to optimise the care and protection of our elderly, often vulnerable clientele.
Considering the complexities of caring for the acutely unwell older person, specific educational requirements will be developed.
Responsibilities
* Develop a bespoke training package that can be rolled out to build and maintain standards for all staff on the Unit.
* Work with members of the wider MDT and specialist nurses to enhance the educational programmes.
* Support all staff with completion of mandatory training compliance and ensure that the training matrix is updated.
* Collaborate with the Education team and CPEs in other divisions to deliver the core competencies programme.
