About the Role
As an Outdoor Teaching Assistant, you will help deliver engaging outdoor learning experiences tailored to the needs of students with diverse learning profiles.
Responsibilities
* Support structured outdoor education sessions that promote teamwork, resilience, and personal growth.
* Encourage students to connect with nature and develop positive habits around physical activity and mental well-being.
* Collaborate with teachers, TAs, and pastoral teams to support holistic student development.
* Monitor student engagement and contribute to progress reviews.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children or young people in an outdoor or educational setting is essential.
* A proactive, empathetic, and energetic approach to mentoring.
* A genuine passion for outdoor education and youth development.
* Relevant qualifications or training in outdoor learning, forest school, or youth work are advantageous.
To work with GSL Education as an Outdoor Teaching Assistant, you should:
* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
* Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
