Power Your Curiosity at PA Consulting. We are a global consulting firm focused on technology and innovation. Our Software, Controls & Embedded Systems team designs and builds software for real products and devices across a range of industries.


Responsibilities

* Design, develop and maintain embedded and cloud software for real products and devices – some of the most innovative and life‑changing solutions.
* Take end‑to‑end responsibility for product development, from early‑stage concepts through to full product releases and even small‑volume production line scale‑up.
* Apply technical know‑how and innovative thinking to find the best answers to complex challenges.


Qualifications

* Undergraduate degree – studying towards, or completed, an accredited STEM‑related degree.
* Proficient coding experience in C++, Python, Rust, C or C# and familiarity with agile practices, version control, TDD, CI and virtualization.
* Growth‑oriented and curious – open to change, driven to succeed, eager to learn new challenges, and able to think creatively and laterally.
* Collaborative and relationship‑focused – thrives in dynamic teams, builds strong relationships with clients and peers, and supports others to succeed.
* Credible and communicative – comfortable in high‑performance environments, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Analytical and adaptable – demonstrates strong problem‑solving abilities, innovative thinking and flexibility in approach.
* Professional and reliable – exhibits punctuality, dependability and respect for business expectations and office conduct.
* Additional technical experience (beneficial but not essential):
o Commercial experience in software design, development or testing.
o Knowledge or experience of embedded software, sensors, IoT, cloud, robotics, VR/AR.

Security Requirements

Some of our UK roles at PA Consulting require a UK security clearance. All PA people undergo background checks and must achieve the Baseline Personnel Security Standard; higher levels of national security vetting may be required for certain roles. Applicants must have at least five years of continuous residency in the UK.
