BBS is working with McDonald's Fun Football to deliver VI-specific Fun Football sessions across England and engage with over 400 blind and partially sighted children and young people.

Every year, BBS reaches 5000+ people through our services, events and projects, supporting people with sight loss of all abilities to participate in a wide range of physical activity from home-based exercise, activities at clubs, schools & leisure centres and all the way up to international sporting events.

About the Role

As our Football Development Officer, you'll be at the heart of delivering McDonald's Fun Football for Young People with a Visual Impairment – an exciting programme designed to break down barriers and introduce blind and partially sighted children to football in a fun and engaging way.

You'll work closely with football clubs, coaches, and sight loss professionals to ensure young people can get active, grow in confidence, and enjoy the beautiful game.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver the McDonald's Fun Football programme for young people with a visual impairment.
* Build strong partnerships with Club Community Organisations (CCOs), McDonald's Fun Football Coaches, habilitation specialists and teachers.
* Identify, recruit and support football clubs nationwide to deliver VI-specific football sessions.
* Develop coaching resources tailored for blind and partially sighted football, providing specialist support to coaches throughout.
* Work within the BBS Sport Development team to develop and distribute a football pack for young people with VI, that can be used in-between coaching sessions and as an outreach pack for young people who can't attend sessions.
* Monitor, evaluate and share insights to shape future activity.

* A degree or equivalent experience in sports development, coaching, or community engagement.
* Experience in a football or disability sport environment.
* Excellent project management and organisational skills.
* Confident communicator and collaborator.
* Willingness to travel and work occasional evenings or weekends.
