We’re seeking highly skilled Mechanical Technicians with SC or DV clearance to join a high‑profile project at a nuclear and defence facility based in Aldermaston, Reading.
Rate: £38.17/hr (CIS)
⏰ Hours: Up to 12‑hour days, Monday to Friday — plus weekends where available
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in delivering essential mechanical work, including:
1. Installation, assembly, and dismantling of equipment
2. Plant operations and maintenance activities
3. Working within both workshop and site environments
4. Ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency at all times
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
5. SC or DV level nuclear clearance (SC holders must be willing to progress to DV)
6. NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline
7. At least 2 years’ nuclear/defence industry experience
8. Minimum 5 years’ mechanical industry experience
Desirable:
9. Experience with Swagelok fittings
