Qualified Social Worker, TESS Access Team
Pay rate £30.57 per hour
Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to work in a TESS Access Team in Birmingham.
Responsibilities
We are looking for 1 full time senior social worker to join our TESS Access Team (TAP) to support the referral and consultation desk, offering advice and guidance and supporting the triage process for all new referrals. To offer additional consultation regarding emotional wellbeing, relationships with primary carer, issues of mental health presentation, understanding of social work and therapeutic practice that support the development of a case analysis of need.
Qualifications
* Knowledge, training, experience in working with children in care and care leavers, the care system and multi-agency working providing service from birth to 25 years of age.
* Supporting care leavers and those 16+ living independently who have experienced early adversity and present with attachment and complex trauma-related difficulties.
* Experience with knowledge to provide consultation and support to the professional and care network.
* Training in or knowledge of clinical psychology, systemic family therapy, play therapy, and other therapeutic social worker models (e.g. DDP, CBT, DBT, etc).
* Training in or awareness / experience of support to a wide spectrum of concerns, including issues of separation and loss, emotional, behavioural and neurodevelopmental difficulties, mental health issues and developmental trauma.
