Job Description
We are supporting a global technology leader in their search for a Electrical Technician to join their technical operations team. This is a permanent role offering a mix of hands-on commissioning work, fault finding, and support for installations both on-site and occasionally at customer locations.As Electrical Technician, you’ll assemble and test advanced electro-mechanical machinery, ensuring systems meet the highest safety and quality standards. You’ll work from detailed engineering drawings and schematics, support product improvements for R&D, and assist with occasional field installations across the UK and abroad.This role would suit an experienced Technician with strong electrical and mechanical skills, commissioning experience, and a proactive, hands-on approach.Core duties include:
* Electrical and mechanical assembly and testing of equipment
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
* Performing commissioning tasks including adjustments, fault finding and documentation
* Supporting the R&D team with prototype testing and product feedback
* Participating in installation activities at customer sites alongside installation teams
* Upholding safe working practices and adherence to company procedures
About you:
* Level 3 Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent qualification
* 18th/17th Edition Electrical Certification required
* Solid experience in electrical commissioning, including low voltage systems and fault finding
* Familiarity with PLC systems
* Strong multi-skilled engineering knowledge – electrical, mechanical, and electronic
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
