Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our newly created Cared For service, as a Social Worker.
You will have a caseload supporting cared for children of varying ages once their plan of permanence in our care has been secured.
This includes Children who are the subject of Care Orders and living at home with parents, children who are living with kinship foster carers/mainstream foster carers, supporting and identifying rehabilitation plans, children living in children's homes both inside North Tyneside and some living outside the borough.
Responsibilities
 * Promote the voice of the child and advocacy, care planning and quality transition planning to enable cared children to thrive and meet their full potential into adulthood.
 * Be familiar with care planning regulations, legislation in relation to cared for children, risk assessing, reviewing and care planning procedures.
 * Join a dynamic, and experienced team who are consistently achieving outstanding outcomes for children who need our services.
 * Contribute to a supportive workplace culture where our vision and values are rooted in practice.
 * Work within our Signs of Safety approach, planning and safeguarding frameworks to support children and families.
 * Develop and maintain effective interpersonal, assessment and report writing skills.
 * Embed North Tyneside Values into practice and uphold safeguarding duties.
