We are recruiting an exceptional Project Director to lead the delivery of a landmark 43-storey residential tower in Canary Wharf, comprising 340 high-spec units for one of London's leading developers. This is a flagship development with significant visibility, requiring a proven leader who can drive excellence across all phases of delivery.
As Project Director, you will have full responsibility for the successful delivery of the scheme, overseeing all site operations, programme, quality, safety, commercial performance, and client relationships. You’ll be supported by a strong senior team, including a Senior Project Manager reporting directly to you, but you will be the overall authority and strategic lead for the project.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the full lifecycle delivery of a major high-rise residential project.
* Own all programme, quality and H&S objectives, ensuring exceptional standards throughout.
* Manage and mentor a high-performing project team including SPM, package managers, commercial, technical, and design leads.
* Oversee procurement, logistics, sequencing and key build strategies for a complex tower scheme.
* Drive risk management, mitigation planning and proactive problem solving.
* Champion a collaborative and positive site culture aligned with company values.
Experience Required
* Proven success delivering major high-rise residential or mixed-use schemes (£100m+).
* Track record as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager stepping up on large, complex structures.
* Strong leadership capability with experience managing large multidisciplinary teams.
* Deep understanding of construction sequencing for towers, MEP integration, façade performance, and quality management.
* Commercially astute, delivery-focused, and an exceptional communicator.
