Responsibilities: We manage and lead a portfolio of digital products, including the most complex areas. We define and communicate the portfolio vision, roadmap, and strategy in line with organisational and government digital transformation objectives. We collaborate with internal teams, senior leaders, and external stakeholders to gather requirements and align expectations. We drive agile and lean delivery practices to ensure products are delivered effectively and to quality standards. We oversee operational running of the product portfolio, including incidents, defects, technical debt, and ongoing improvements. We set strategy and allocate resources to support both product development and operational management. We define, track, and review KPIs to measure product success and support continuous improvement. We work closely with other Lead Product Managers to ensure consistency and synergy across the product organisation. We contribute to product management capability by developing standards, guidance, and best practice. We support the Head of Product in providing leadership and direction across the product community. We recruit Senior Product Managers and contractors where required. We manage budgeting and forecasting across the product portfolio. We line manage, coach, and mentor product managers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. We maintain coherent portfolio-level roadmaps and ensure delivery across multiple squads and programmes. We work with project and portfolio management teams to align approved change initiatives with delivery plans. We collaborate with service owners and stakeholders across directorates to understand service objectives and required changes.
