A thriving secondary school in Lambeth seeks a passionate and skilled Science Teacher, with a specialism in Chemistry, to join their successful Science department. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a high-achieving and supportive team. The appointed Science Teacher will have a passion for Chemistry.
The Role:
* Primarily teach Chemistry across Key Stages 3, 4, and ideally Key Stage 5 (A-Level Chemistry).
* Contribute to the teaching of general Science at Key Stage 3.
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
* Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Maintain accurate student records.
* Create a positive, safe, and inclusive laboratory/classroom environment.
* Collaborate with colleagues within the Science department.
* Contribute to curriculum development.
* Communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
* Adhere to all school safeguarding policies.
The Ideal Candidate:
The Science Teacher will be
* Qualified: Possess QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
* Experienced: Demonstrate a proven track record of teaching Chemistry.
