We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual
to join our team as a Chef at Manchester Airport, working
in our outlets to deliver exceptional food and outstanding customer service
with a highly trained and motivated team.
As a Chef, you will play a vital role in
supporting the kitchen brigade’s day-to-day operations
while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and
efficiency.
The Great Northern Market concept at Manchester Airport,
includes six kitchens, offering a diverse range of cuisines such as fried
chicken, smashed burgers, burritos, hand stretched pizza, Asian, Greek, and a
breakfast menu. The venue has approximately 470 covers
and operates from 3am to 10pm.
This is an hourly paid role, and shifts may include early
morning starts (e.g., 2 a.m.) or late finishes (e.g., the last flight), with no
requirement for split or double shifts.

The Role
As part of the team, you’ll be responsible
for delivering well prepared dishes in a timely manner while ensuring
compliance with hygiene, health and safety, and allergen
protocols. You’ll work closely with the front of house team to
deliver a positive experience of every guest.
Main Duties
* Assist in
all areas of food preparation and service.
* Work
closely with the front-of-house team to deliver excellent customer
service.
* Ensure
the quality, quantity, and presentation of food meets company
standards.
* Maintain
cleanliness in food preparation areas and ensure adherence to safety and
hygiene protocols.
Requirements
We are seeking individuals who are
passionate about working in a dynamic kitchen environment and delivering
exceptional food.
To succeed in this
role, you’ll have:
* Previous kitchen, food preparation, and
service experience (airport setting helpful but not essential).
* The ability to identify and address
potential health, safety, and hygiene concerns, escalating where
necessary.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to
build relationships with team members.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to
work effectively under pressure.
* The ability to manage stock, reducing waste, and
maximising revenue.
