We are looking for a professional, confident Ward Manager (RMN) who can lead, inspire, and oversee the delivery of the very best care.
You'll be working 40 hours a week (Monday to Friday only with on-call expectations) at Cygnet Hospital Sheffield.
Must have experience in dealing with external stakeholders including CQC, safeguarding, and commissioners.
Cygnet Hospital Sheffield offers a low secure service for women and CAMHS services for male and female adolescents across three distinct wards.
Within the adult service, women are supported by a full multidisciplinary team focused on helping service users regain independence, maintain family links, and prepare for discharge. There is an emphasis on community access, therapy, meaningful activity, and creating a warm and welcoming environment for support and care.
In the separate CAMHS services at Cygnet Hospital Sheffield, young people may be admitted to either our PICU or general CAMHS ward depending on their individual needs. All young people are supported by a full multidisciplinary team alongside therapy and education departments.

Your day-to-day
* Provide the highest standard of nursing care and be a role model to junior staff
* Coordinate all clinical aspects of the ward and ensure cooperation between clinical departments
* Implement clinical and administrative policies, procedures, and regulations
* Ensure compliance by others of policies, procedures, and regulations
* Support staff through debriefs, appraisals, training, meetings, and development of evidence- and research-based practice
* Participate in the manager's on-call system to provide the first point of contact for ward-based staff outside of normal working hours
* Lead by example to ensure consistently high standards of clinical care and documentation

You are
* Committed to delivering improvement strategies across all aspects of clinical service provision
* Familiar with inpatient settings, preferably acute or forensic
* Experienced in managing change, leadership initiatives, motivating, and developing others
* Open, compassionate, honest, and resilient
* Capable of undertaking audits, developing, following up, and ensuring completion of action plans
* Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 and the latest nursing practices
* Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage, and reduce risk
